The beautiful hardwood forests of Holmes County State Park are home to an abundant of wildlife, and provide the scenic backdrop for a variety of outdoor activities. Built around two lakes covering 88 acres, the park offer such diverse activities as fishing and camping. Park offers two fishing lakes, both well-stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. English Lake is equipped with a boat launch. Odom Lake has no boat launch area.
The 28 sites available for RV camping feature picnic tables and grills, water and electrical hook-ups, and a central sewage dumping station. A bath-house with hot showers is located in the developed camping area.
Holmes County State Park offers easy access to Interstate 55, which bisects Mississippi north and south. The convenient location and diverse outdoor recreational amenities make Holmes County State Park a favorite retreat.
Thte park is located four miles South of Durant off Interstate 55 at exit 150. Holmes County State Park is 45 minutes north of Jackson.
